Life is continuing to get better. The Lord is blessing us in Virginia. Our area is called Botetourt (pronounced bot-a-tot). Elder Peine and I are teaching more and more people. Our investigator pool continues to grow. It's easy to see our growth here because we literally started out with no one to teach in the area. We now have scheduled appointments to return. I'm so excited about scheduled appointments!! It means we don't have to think of things to do to fill time. We are teaching some interesting people. We are teaching a wonerful single mother of 2 named Amanda. She seems quite interested in the Book of Mormon we gave her and she was quite interested in priesthood power and authority. This week was have qutie an adventure ahead of us. We are re-visiting two people who seem to be religious scholars. One gentleman named Zach, is working on his Doctorates degree in theology at Princeton and the other is a very knowledgable young man named Brandon who is also very knoledgable about religion.
We have talked to both about the Book of Mormon and how it testifies and gives us the fullness of the gospel. That is the key of conversion as Joseph Smith said, once the individual gains a testimony of the Book of Mormon. They will gain a knowledge of Christ and are willing to change their life. We have been using the Book of Mormon more and more as we teach more and more.
Thank you for all the letters that you sent. They really mean a lot and I'm trying to respond to them as many as I can.
Elder Peine's birthday is today. We're gonna have dinner at a members house and celebrate it.
Attached are some pictures of my appartment, life in Virginia, and a wonderful sunset that was right over our house the other night.
The gospel is true, so is the Book of Mormon, if you haven't read it than READ IT.
Sincerely,
Elder Kochenderfer
