Dear Mom and Dad,
I got here safely. I flew in to Salt Lake a few days ago and Brother Grose picked me up. That evening he took me to see Temple Square and we had dinner at the Joseph Smith Building, it was a wonderful night. The food was INCREDIBLE.
I hung out with Bro. Grose the next day and he took me into the MTC around 5pm. I arrived early and spent the night early. My first night we were supposed to wake up at 6am. The alarm went off in the morning and everyone got up hastily and started getting dressed. Then someone noticed that it was rather dark outside. We checked the clock and realized that it was 3 am... the same thing happened at 5am. I don't know what was up with that night but it was definitely one to remember.
My companion is Elder Saunders. Yep, just like Saunders Chocolate. President Parsons was right. Being at the MTC is like trying to drink from a fire-hydrant. It's overwhelming. We actually are the first group of elders to use computers. I am in a group of 7 in my part of the district. Not the whole district but a part of it.
Hope Michigan is well.
Love you, Mom, Dad, Leah, and Kate
Sincerely,
Elder Eric Kochenderfer
P.S I was wondering if you could get Bro. Geigers email address for me, along with Bishop Lovell and Pres. Hill.
I would like to get in touch with them.
Bilbo is doing fine. I have taken a few pictures with him.
