This week has been very productive. After a whole transfer (6 weeks), of being in the area. We had our first 2 investigators come to church. It was amazing how we met them. Elder Peine and I were at Krogers and an older couple came up to us and asked us where we were from. They explained that they knew some Mormons and the recognized us as missionaries. We talked and they invited us over. We went over a few days after and got to know them, they are the Jones family. Mr. Jones is awesome he does civil war reenactments and his is on the cavalry!! everyone out here has a horse. We talked some more and they said that they always have wanted to go to a Mormon church. We invited them and they said yes! They attended church this Sunday and the ward welcomed them in. They loved it and we will be having a lesson with them over at a members house. The members are the Gentrys and Cummings, they have two houses right next to each other and they are family. One is the grandparents and the other is the family with kids. Bro. Gentry is awesome, he was a gun dealer and he has about every gun under the sun. It's a shame that we as missionaries can't hold, or shoot guns.
But back to the good news. We had a great lesson with a part member family. They are called the Waddells. They are the coolest people on earth. The husband works as an installer of security in places all around the united states. Last night we had dinner with them and he was telling us of the secret government places he worked. It was awesome. What was even more awesome was the lesson that we had afterward, we taught him and his wife about the plan of salvation and the spirit was strong. They told their stories and experiences, he is reading the Book of Mormon and is becoming a good friend of ours. Hope that this week will be just as great if not better.
Hope all is well at home. Hope all is well. and remember it's always a great day to be a Mormon.
Sincerely,
Elder Eric Kochenderfer
