The weather is great here in Virginia. Perfect tracting weather. I think I told you last time that I'm training Elder Grajeta. As of right now tracting is our main source of finding people. Everyone down here is so nice. Even if their not interested they will still thank you for your services and even offer you a bottle of water.
This week we had 3 solid new investigators that we are really excited about, one of them is named Jesse. He wants to be a preacher when he grows up and was interested on what makes the Mormons unique. We told him and he is interested in learning more.
One thing that has also been happening as the weather has been getting better is the opportunities for service have increased. While i've been on a mission I've learned to dig holes for fence posts and how to put up a wood fence. Growing up in suburbia I never learned how to do these things. I'm glad I'm learning these things.
Yesterday Elder Grajeta and I were blessed with the oppportunity to take a tour of a very old church here. Fincastle is a tiny town in our area, and it's older than the USA. There is a old Presbyterian church in it which is also older than the USA and we knocked on the door of the minister. He offered us a tour of the building. I was able to play the organ which, was fun. At the end of the tour we talked some about the gospel and the minister, who already had a copy of the Book of Mormon, was interested in reading "Jesus the Christ" we said we would come back and return a copy for him. We hope and pray he will be humble and honestly read.
Please contintue to pray for us and our investigators. 1. Jesse 2. Spencer 3. David
They all have a book of Mormon and agreed to read it.
Love ya'll
Pray for ya'll.
It's great to be a Mormon.
Sincerely,
Elder Kochenderfer
