This week was rather quiet here in Santa Barbara. Nivaldo received the priesthood this week and they will be going to the temple soon. We mainly have been looking for new people to teach, we are organizing the ward list to find less actives and there are a lot. That's about all for work-wise here but life is going pretty good, the temperatures are going down, which is heaven for me, and I have officially become addicted to chocolate. Here in Brazil they make their chocolate with "sugar cane" its a plant that i believe God made especially for making sugar, in the USA we use corn, I have no idea why, but the chocolate here in Brazil is to die for. I will buy a bunch before i come home to share with everyone.

So, this week was great. The baptism of Nivaldo took place on Friday and it was wonderful, a lot of people showed up, the most ive seen for a baptism here in Brazil. Elder Guilherme and I called people to invite them to the baptism, I believe that helped a lot. But the baptism went well and another life has been changed. Nivaldo has changed a lot, he used to drink quite a bit and life was hard for his wife, not since they've met the missionaries their lives have changed. Elder Guilherme and I passed by their house the day after the baptism and.... when we walked in the house you could just feel the joy that they had in their small humble home, their home is about the size of 2 or 3 bathrooms, they live in the government projects area here, the house is small but the joy in the house was strong it was touchable. It was such a great event in their lives and now i see the joy it brought them, I want to work harder to help other people have that same joy.
