Once again, i don't have much time to write but this week was once again went rather well. The Portuguese is coming along. A funny thing happened this week, once a week all the missionaries gather for a meeting, there are a few other Americans there and we get to talk. The last meeting, i had to think about a few words in English because i forgot them, it literally felt weird to talk in English, the other missionaries who i was conversing with said that it happens to them now and then. I wish i could update things on how the missionary work is going but even though i am learning i still have progress to make, for now my companion Elder Carvalho talks more, i talk about 20 -30 percent of the time.
But last week i talked a little about food here in Brazil. this week i had the great honor to eat ANTS. When a storm comes here, it is always proceeded by a swarm of insects, the other day ants flew in with the storm, the sidewalks were covered with them, people were running around trying to catch them, these ants mind you are about the size of a quarter. People fry them up and eat them. I had the honor to try them and to be honest they weren't that bad.
The culture is becoming more familiar and life is as well, i hope it is all well back home and next week i will write more.
Sincerely,
Elder Kochenderfer
