This week was transfer week. That's why I'm emailing on a Tuesday. We continue to find and teach. I'm really excited for general conference coming up. It'll be good to hear from the prophet and apostles. Here in Virginia we had a full week of 70 degree weather. Elder Peine and I were wearing short sleeves, but today it dropped down to 20 and there is a foot of snow on the ground. I used to think that Michigan was the only place with crazy unpredictable weather but I was wrong. For the end of our first transfer here, Elder Peine and I have been busy. We find more and more people that were left behind by the old missionaries, there was no record of them. We just kind of ran into them by mistake. No word on our visas yet. To be honest I can't really imagine being a missionary where no one speaks English. Its tough enough giving lessons speaking English, I can't imagine it in Portuguese.
Not a lot of big events happening this week so its rather a short email. I do have a request. Since both Elder Peine and I are waiting for our VISA's, we are always wanting to listen to someone speak Portuguese. If you know anyone who has the hymns or arrangements of hymns sung in Portuguese on a CD, general conference talks translated into Portuguese, or any kind of church appropriate music that is in Portuguese, we would really appreciate it.
Hope everyone is well back home.
Sincerely,
Elder Eric Kochenderfer
