Kentucky is awesome. I learn more and more about it every day for example did you know that Jonhny Depp is from Kentucky? guess who else? George Clooney! That comes from the locals . Our area is growing. We are getting known around the community pretty well, it's a small town and the people love us. We even get free haircuts!! who hoo!
Elder Kelly has been a workhorse as well. He still is adjusting to missionary life of waking up every morning at 6:30 and working until bed at 10:30. He takes naps now and then when he can.We are working hard and talk to as many people as we can. We have found a few people who are checking out the church. Yesterday we taught a man named Tom Ballard who is in his late 70's. We explained how authorized prophets are once again on the earth and they direct his church just like in the old testament and the new testament. Tom was open to learning new things and we left him a Book of Mormon to read. He has a great relationship with God and Jesus Christ we hope that it will help him come closer to Christ.
This week I've learned the importance of the atonement and how we can repent. Often in life the word "repent" denotes a feeling of fear or shame but in reality it simply means to change or to turn your life around. It's one of the most enjoyable feelings . Elder Kelly has been a great inspiration to me because of his work ethic. He talks to everyone, i previously have been more laid back but watching him has motivated me to change my efforts and start anew. Starting over again and forgetting the past is one of the greatest feelings in the world and it all is because of Jesus Christ, he made it possible for us to change. It is possible.
It's great to be a repenter. haha I don't even know if that's a real word. probably isn't but GO HAVE A GREAT DAY
